Derby Cycling Group have sent an open letter to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), the Department for Transport (DfT) and the Health and Social Care secretary, calling on them to reject the removing of cycle lanes from Friar Gate, a busy main road in Derby. The council are doing this in the hope that it will improve the quality of the air and traffic management in the area.
Cycling infrastructure could be improved to allow for safer and more convenient routes for cyclists.
Are you put off by the lack of infrastructure in your area? Is there anywhere you would like a cycle lane where there isn’t one?
